CAS Scientific Workshop for the 10th Time

On 18-19 October 2014, the 10th series of CAS Scientific Workshops took place at the Radziejowice Palace.

The workshop, chaired by Prof. Stanisław Janeczko, CAS Director, was held with the participation of CAS scholarship holders as well as outstanding representatives of WUT academic staff: Prof. Leszek Adamowicz (Faculty of Physics), Prof. Ryszard Jachowicz (Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology), Prof. Mirosław Karpierz (Faculty of Physics), Prof. Franciszek Krok (Faculty of Physics), Prof. Józef Modelski (Faculty of Electronics and Information Technology), Prof. Arch. Jan Słyk (Faculty of Architecture), Prof. Arch. Stefan Westrych (Faculty of Architecture).

A special lecture titled Material in the Information Age. The Building Blocks of the 21st Century was delivered by Prof. Arch. Jan Słyk. Scholarship holders presented their scientific research projects during a poster session and in mini-lectures. All presentations were evaluated by the CAS Workshop Scientific Committee. Consequently, six laureates were selected in two categories: “oral presentation” and “poster”.

As usual during CAS workshops, young scientists could share their views and talked about their research results. The aim to academically integrate members of the academic community from different WUT faculties was achieved.
