Colloquium Lecture - "From Research to Product", 18.01.2018
Professor Jari Viik from Department of Biomedical Engineering, Tampere University of Technology (Finland) will give a lecture „From Research to Product" on 18th of January 2018 at 4.15 p.m., lecture hall No.134, in Main Building WUT.
Jari Viik is Associate Professor and Research Project Manager at Tampere University of Technology. He is interested in physiological measurements, signal processing and transferring research into products. Specialized in cardiovascular and respiratory systems, e.g. connected with ballistocardiography or impedance pneumography. He received PhD degree in 2000 with the thesis "Diagnostic Properties of Exercise Electrocardiographic Leads and Variables in the Detection of Coronary Artery Disease". Author of more than 150 papers, from which more than 70 come from journals (h=15, number of citations without self-citation- 667). Supervisor of 2 PhD dissertations.
