Promotion of the album "Watercolours" at National Gallery of Art ZACHĘTA, 5.10.2016

On 5th of October 2016, at ZachÄ™ta â€“ National Gallery of Art in Warsaw, the promotion of the album "Watercolours" by Joanna PÄ™tkowska, published by Center for Advanced Studies WUT, has taken place.

The meeting was performed in the formula of an interview with the artist at Zachęta's Art Bookshop conducted by Prof. Stanisław Janeczko – the director of CAS. The author presented her artistic craft, inspirations, the respect for the context in the creation process and reflections upon artistic development from the detail to the synthesis, the abstraction.

The publication contains artistic achievements of the aquarellist, including works created during scholarship stay at Berlin in 2014 and watercolors featuring Warsaw and numerous artistic "souvenirs" from a trip to Europe - captivating parts of cities, landscapes - their beauty spotted and captured by the artist.
The album opens with a series of watercolors, created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Warsaw University of Technology, presenting the buildings of individual faculties of Warsaw University of Technology.
