Seminar in discrete mathematics, 17-18.05.2019

On 17-18 May 2019 an international seminar on discrete mathematics will be held at the Warsaw University of Technology. The co-organizers are the Center for Advanced Studies and the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Sciences of the Warsaw University of Technology.

The seminar has a long tradition. It was initiated in the mid-1990s by Prof. Michał Karoński from the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and Prof. Hans Jürgen Prömel, at that time from the Humboldt University in Berlin. The seminar covers a wide range of topics: extreme and probabilistic combinatorics, algorithmic discrete mathematics and related topics. In previous years, the seminar was organised alternately in Berlin, Poznań and Hamburg. This year it will be held for the first time in Warsaw.

The conference will be attended by mathematicians from Poland and Germany. The invited scientists will deliver several lectures.
