Third conference on the Philosophy of Science and Formal Methods in Philosophy, 13-14.12.2018
The Center for Advanced Studies of the Warsaw University of Technology invites for the 3rd conference on Philosophy of Science and Formal Methods in Philosophy, co-organized with the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences of the Warsaw University of Technology and other scientific institutions.
The series of conferences of Philosophy of Science and Formal Methods in Philosophy is to serve the integration of the Polish environment of philosophers of science and philosophers using formal tools in the practice of philosophy. The subject matter of the conference includes general and detailed philosophies of science, methodology of science and the use of mathematical methods in philosophy. The first edition of the conference organized under the auspices of the Polish Society for Logic and Philosophy of Science took place in 2016 at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The second edition took place in 2017 at the Catholic University of Lublin. For the third edition we invite you to Warsaw University of Technology.
The aim of the conference is to integrate the environment focused around the philosophy of science and formal methods in science. Wide range of institutional conference organizers include: International Centre for Formal Ontology at the Faculty of Administration and Social Sciences of Warsaw University of Technology, Institute of Philosophy of the University of Warsaw, Centre for Theoretical Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Center for Advanced Studies of the Warsaw University of Technology.
