Visit of the Professor Peter J. Giblin from the University of Liverpool, 21.06 - 2.07.2016
Center for Advanced Studies has an honour to host for the third time Professor Peter J. Giblin from the University of Liverpool.
He is an outstanding mathematician, a member of a research group working on the singularity theory and its application. Professor Giblin is a member of numerous mathematical societies and committees, including: London and American Mathematical Societies, as well as a member of a group for higher education at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) in Great Britain. He was the Head of Department of Mathematical Sciences, as well as the Head of Mathematics Division. He is a co-author of more than 100 publications and several mathematical books; in addition he has supervised 12 PhD theses.
Professor Giblin will visit WUT as a scientific consultant at Faculty of Mathematics and Information Science, hosted by Prof. Stanisław Janeczko.
