Awarded the Medal of the Young Scientist on 10 April 2018 for the discovery of the method of ultrafast photomagnetic recording.
Dr. Krzysztof Szerenos is a graduate and a scientist of the Faculty of Physics of the University of Białystok. During his second degree studies he was a scholarship holder of the project of the Polish Science Foundation TEAM "Statics and Dynamics of Magnonic and Magneto-Phonic Crystals". The experience gained in this project enabled to undertake a "fast track" of research theses, combining the subject matter of the master's and doctoral thesis. After graduation, the scientist continued his research as a doctoral student at the Department of Magnetics Physics, employed within the NCN OPUS 5 project "Coherent excitation of femtosecond spins with light impulses in magnetic heterostructures of metal/electrics.
